Visual Arts Center
The Visual Arts Center of Northwest Florida is located
in Panama City's first City Hall, built in 1925, at 5
East Fourth Street. The Visual Arts Center hosts approximately
12 events annually. Indoor gallery spaces include the Main
Gallery, The Higby Gallery, Lobby Gallery, Walkway Gallery
and Impressions - a Hands-on Children's Gallery.
Since the Visual Arts Center opened in 1988, the
visual arts program has presented some of the world's most
notable art exhibits, as well as artists of local, state,
and regional acclaim. The Center has hosted exhibits of Russian
Icons, national Watercolor Competition and international Photography
Competition.
The Visual Arts Center galleries host annual exhibits
by Florida artists as well as Bay County School students.
They also offer classes, workshops and lectures for the community.
Gallery hours are: Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00
p.m; Wednesday and Friday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Saturday
and Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m and closed on Monday. Opening
receptions are scheduled with every exhibition change. For
