St. Petersburg College is located in St. Petersburg, Florida, in the heart of the Tampa Bay area. The city of St. Petersburg is bordered by 234 miles of shoreline, surrounded by water on three sides - Tampa Bay to the east and south and the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico to the west. The mission of St. Petersburg College is to provide accessible, open door, learner-centered education for students pursuing associate degrees, limited four year degrees, technical education, and continuing education within Pinellas County and globally, in program areas where the college has special expertise. Through the UPC you can take your junior and senior years from one of several universities working in partnership with Saint Petersburg College. The UPC offers degrees in a variety of subjects — including Business, Computer Science, Elementary Education and Nursing. At the UPC, you'll get the same quality of learning as you would by attending the home campuses of the partner institution.

About USF St. Petersburg
The University of South Florida St. Petersburg is the oldest and largest regional campus within USF. USF St. The campus is known for its small college atmosphere with the benefits of being part of a university with a national reputation for advanced scholarship. Petersburg offers students a strong liberal arts curriculum coupled by professional programs in Business and Education. USF is one of the nation's major public research universities and is classified in the top tier as Doctoral/Research Extensive by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
USF St. Petersburg is fiscally autonomous and earned separate accreditation in 2006 from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. This recognition is evidence that USF St. Petersburg stands on its own academically and affirms the quality of the faculty and programs. The campus will remain a separate, accredited institution within USF.

Hands on Learning
Citizen scholarship sets USF St. Petersburg apart. Faculty at USF St. Petersburg believe students learn best outside the classroom, by applying their academic work within the community. Citizen Scholarship is a joint venture between the university and businesses across the region. These partnerships provide a starting point for students to gain real-world experience, and USF St. Petersburg programs benefit organizations by providing valuable academic service. In addition, each college partners with a public school in Pinellas County as part of the city’s Mayor’s, Mentors and More program.

The campus holds several endowed chairs whose scholars are in the fields of ethics, media ethics, business and environmental science.
Live on Campus
In the fall of 2006, the first residence hall opened on campus. All student rooms and apartments are furnished and rent includes all utilities, local telephone service, high speed internet and cable TV. Each floor has a full-service laundry room and study lounge with wi-fi. The hall features beautiful views of Tampa Bay and downtown St. Petersburg. Nearby is a brand new 1,100-space parking garage for faculty, staff and students. The garage also houses the campus bookstore, run by Barnes & Noble.
